Katie Paddon

Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (Supervised by Angela Martilik, PhD, LPC-S )

Do you have trouble getting out of bed in the morning (or evening for you shift workers)? Do you dread going to work? Are you going through a major life transition? You may be experiencing burnout, depression, or stress. You are not alone, and I am ready to start this journey with you. I am here to meet you wherever you are. I won’t bore you with all the technical terms, but I use a variety of approaches that I tailor to your needs. I provide a client-led space to collaborate on your needs and goals. I have been where you are, and I know what it is like to reach out to a stranger for help. I am nonjudgmental and down to earth. You can cuss, cry or laugh during our sessions.

My professional journey spans over seven years of law enforcement experience, complemented by several additional years in diverse helping professions. I have extensive training and experience in domestic violence and trauma.  Are you ready to feel better and look forward to getting out of bed? Call, text or email me to set up a free 15 minute consultation to see if we are a good fit for each other.

I enjoy connecting with clients and witnessing the ah-ha moments while helping them build resilience.

But who am I outside of my professional background? I am a dog mom to two spirited rescues, Blanca and Trace. I love to craft, my favorite thing to make is wreaths. I am obsessed with everything Halloween. I am very active in my community. I serve on the board of directors for Hays County Crimestoppers and participate in my neighborhood’s social committee. I love to binge-watch TV, spend time outside, float the river, and listen to live music in my free time.

First Responders

I have been there, and I can relate. As someone who has personally served as a first responder, I profoundly understand the unique culture and challenges inherent in this line of work. My professional journey spans over seven years of law enforcement experience, complemented by several additional years in diverse helping professions. I recognize that the role of a first responder can be physically and emotionally strenuous. It is essential to acknowledge and confront these challenges. My commitment is to provide a supportive and safe space to navigate this alongside you while fostering resilience.
